ABOUT US
Youth Music Group was founded by Beth Cohen as a 501c3 non-profit organization with a mission of providing opportunities in music for young people. We promote active engagement in the arts as opposed to passive entertainment by the media. As a result of music making young people will become more creative, focused, and disciplined and will learn essential skills in music as well as in life and work. Each of our programs highlights to the community the best of these young people. Our programs also bring together the diverse communities of Jersey City/Hudson County, New Jersey by supporting music making by student, amateur and professional musicians. Beth is also the founder of Cohen Arts & Education, an educational consulting service and professional development provider that introduces educational communities, educators and parents to a more organic way of infusing the arts into our children's daily lives.
